The Back Pain Project is a special program to address chronic lower back problems that are unresolved with conventional treatments. Here are some examples of different back pain treatments;
Medications: Over-the-counter pain relievers such as acetaminophen, nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) like ibuprofen or naproxen, or prescription drugs like muscle relaxants or opioids may be prescribed to manage the pain.
Physical therapy: Exercise, stretching, and other physical therapies can help improve flexibility and strength, reduce pain, and prevent future injuries.
Chiropractic care: Spinal adjustments or other manual therapies may be recommended by a chiropractor to alleviate pain and improve spinal function.
Injections: Steroid injections or nerve block injections may be used to reduce inflammation and relieve pain.
Surgery: Surgery may be considered for patients with severe chronic low back pain who have not responded to other treatments, but it is typically reserved for specific conditions such as herniated discs, spinal stenosis, or degenerative disc disease.
It’s important to note that treatment options for chronic low back pain may vary depending on the individual case, and patients should always consult with their healthcare provider to determine the best course of action for their specific condition.
When these interventions fail the Back Pain Project will prevail. We offer cutting-edge therapies so our patients can get the relief they need to go about the normal activities of daily living, pain-free. Call 203-656-3638 and set up a consultation
ABOUT THE BACK PAIN PROJECT
The Back Project is an extension of Core Health Darien which is primarily a chiropractic office. The chiropractic connection leads to confusion in some people’s minds that chiropractic care is all alike. The distinction between Core Health Darien and The Back Pain Project is that there is more non-chiropractic therapy offered by the Back Pain Project. The goal of The Back Pain Project is to offer lasting relief to people who suffer from chronic lower back pain.
